Taking pictures of people
I work as a photographer of people, and accept jobs for all manner of events, from weddings to music festivals, as well as more intimate social or formal occasions. I also have experience in portraiture and group photography, in a range of settings and lighting conditions. I will only post a small selection of work on this website.
My favourite jobs allow a certain amount of creative freedom, and the chance to get to know or observe the nature of the people I am photographing.
I also have a strong preference for making the most of the natural or ambient light in my photography of people, where possible and aesthetically desirable. This is the light that the people present experience, and often has a distinctive ambience. I have reinvested in my kit recently to ensure the highest quality results at low light levels, so that I can work with the light of the moment.
